No team is complete without a shopaholic in it, and at Stellaris, it’s Rahul who lays claim to that undisputed title. Be it in the US, HK, or Singapore, he is always armed with a shopping list in hand, and we figured it’s probably why he’s interested in the retail space.
Rahul believes that Indian consumers and businesses deserve much better than what they currently receive in the market, and that’s one of the primary reasons he’s on the lookout for entrepreneurs who can genuinely impact their customer’s lives.
As an investor at Stellaris, Rahul looks towards backing technology companies in Retail, Education, Content, and the Payment space at Stellaris.
Prior to Stellaris, Rahul was a Partner at Helion, where he invested in companies like Shopclues, Bigbasket, Simplilearn, and Livspace. Also, before he settled on investing, Rahul had stints in product management and consulting roles at Microsoft, MarketRx, i2 Technologies, and BCG.
Rahul is an active sportsperson, with interests in badminton, tennis, table tennis, and cricket. He is also an avid movie-buff, though he prefers to avoid the artsy ones! He always makes sure that he carries a book during his travels, but the last we heard, the book is still waiting for him!
Rahul holds a B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from IIM Calcutta.
